About Douglas Berry and His Children's Books

My first book, "The Night I Spent in a People House," is a semi-true story inspired by my experiences with my son, Douglas Berry. He caught a baby rabbit in our backyard, named him Jasper, and we kept him inside for one night. As I pondered what was going through Jasper's mind during that time, I decided to write from the rabbit's perspective, creating a unique addition to children's bedtime stories, which I hope will resonate with young readers through the adventures of Jasper-N-Friends.

A little bit about me: I left the family poultry farm back in 1985 and joined the US Air Force, where I became an Armament Systems Specialist on both the A-10 and F-16 Aircraft. After marrying Sherry, we welcomed two great kids, Timothy and Melissa. In my spare time, I enjoy sharing children's bedtime stories, like those from Douglas Berry and his series Jasper-N-Friends. I retired in 2006 from the Air Force after 20 years of service.
